Taiwan Graduation Trip - Day 3 of 7

***The following is the account of the first-person-view from Edwin Ang.***

Woke up at 9am today because we are meeting the Shawa Canyoning trainers at 11am at Xinpu station. We ate at McDonald's which is across the street from our house. The Big Breakfast meal costs just 99NT, which is roughly S$4, which is super cheap.

It was tasty. Then we headed over to Xinpu station. I was in singlet the whole time and it felt good. We met the two trainers and they were cool guys. We got on the van and left Taipei at 11.40am.

We stopped by a small local shop near some random small seaside town and settled our lunch there.

It was also a tasty meal. Then we went on our way towards Long Dong. We reached Long Dong at around 1pm. The rocks were natural rocks and it was an amazing view.

I completed one tough route and gave up halfway on the next easier one. It was a good feeling completed one of the tougher routes there. Towards the end, it started drizzling and the rocks got wet. It was tougher to grip on the natural rocks because they are wet, that's why I gave up on the second route. Took a lot of pictures though so it was all worth it. Explored the whole rocky area too.

We left Long Dong at 6pm to avoid the jam on the way back, but it was too late. We were still caught in the traffic jam. It started raining heavily when we got back to Taipei and we had no choice but to dabao food back to the house. Before bidding goodbye, the trainers said they respect me a lot for being in singlet the whole time and still not feel cold. We took train back to Ximending and bought food back.

60NTD for the curry rice, 70NTD for the cutlet
The curry rice cost 60NT and the chicken cutlet cost 70NT, which makes an awesome dinner. We then ended the day with the same Bridge card game. Overall, it was a great day well spent.
