Taiwan Graduation Trip - Day 5 of 7

***The following is the account of the first-person-view from Edwin Ang.***

Woke up at legit 5am and promptly left house at 6am. Decided to buy McDonalds breakfast again because we are rushing for time. When we reached Xinpu station, we were late by 10 minutes. Thankfully it's the same dude from Tuesday that is bringing us to river trace. He's a cool dude.

Honestly, I thought we would be going in to the river half naked, but we were told to put on spacesuits so that's kinda cool.

The scenery was great, the water was cold enough. It is a crazy new experience because we literally climbed upstream in the river. We reached a giant waterfall at the end and had fun jumping off the cliff into the deep waters below. Still, I don't feel as cold compared to the rest of the team.

We returned to our original location shortly after 12pm. The river was located at Hsinchu. We went over to the trainer's friend's place for lunch.

We were supposed to cook this noodles at the waterfall but the weather was too wet to start a fire. So we cooked it at dry ground instead.

After lunch, we headed over to one of the hot springs located near lunch place. The hot water was at 37 degrees Celsius and it was super hot to the touch. I didn't enjoy the hot springs because it's too hot for us Singaporeans.

After hot springs, we went back to our house and unloaded our wet clothes. Then we headed over to Ximending to find food.

Jun Wei had to do a forfeit of picking up girls due to losing the Bridge game yesterday night. This was the girl he picked up at Ximen MRT station. Next, we went to the market. We ate an egg cake each for 40NT but we forgot to take pictures of it. Then we continued on and found the world famous mango shaved ice.

Mango and mocha flavours
To be honest, it's just ice kachang. Nothing special about it.

199NTD each
Saw this pack of golden cards and bought 2. One of myself, one for Jaaron. Then we headed over to takeaway our dinner.

Nice meal
Dinner was awesome as the braised pork rice coupled with egg is killer (55NT). We drank a different brand of milk tea for 50NT and I bought the same chicken I ate yesterday for 110NT today.

Loot!
Finally, I bought another keychain as I head back to the house. We played Bridge and lepak until we sleep. And I also bought the muahchee my parents tasked me to get. :)
