***This post is a recount of the trip after I returned to Singapore from the trip.***
So, it is Osaka day! And with Osaka day, it means visiting Osaka castle! But first, gotta have to settle breakfast, which I believe was all bread from this point on. Woke up to a very comfy morning chock full of the smell of wood, which I actually rather like.
Took the train to the station closest to Osaka castle and started walking. Not sure what I was thinking but I really wasn't expecting a huge crowd. Oh how wrong I was. The whole Osaka park was full of tourists. GG at that point, I knew I don't wanna stay too long there.
Ok don't even ask me why I never take any photos of the castle. My interest wasn't the castle, but the park around it, which I took a whole lot of pictures of. Sadly, I really don't like crowds so I didn't linger around the castle much. I just straight up explored the surrounding areas.
The surrounding areas are much nicer, though much colder as well. This is the part about Japan that I really like, the peace and quiet. At about 11am, I was bored of the entire place so I left to go find some food. Chanced upon a Lawson store and just settled lunch there. Wow, very delicious!
Sat there for a good half an hour planning my next move, which actually was no move. Legit have no plans except to explore Dotonburi and walk around aimlessly. My friends have asked me to visit this street since day 1 of coming to Japan, but I am really not a big fan of crowded places.
Thankfully the street was near empty in the afternoon, as it should be considering it is a popular night spot. I checked out different music shops to compare prices and this was the day I really really wanted to walk out with a guitar.
I played a few different guitars and really just spent my day strolling around the different shops. Ultimately decided not to buy any guitar for this leg of the trip.
At 5pm, I was basically done with walking around. Not sure how I managed to spend the whole day walking around aimlessly but I did. Went into this super nice noodle store near Namba station and was thoroughly amazed at the food. Like wow damn.
Considering this shop is like in prime estate, it is really very affordable. If I ever return to Osaka, this is the first udon shop I'm heading to. Simply unforgettable.
Ended the night as usual with the crazy purchase of bread for the following day. It is finally climb mountain day again so really need to stock up on bread.
